The video shows a strenuous hike up Mount Isobel which is just north of Hamner Springs in the northeast part of New Zealand's South Island. The solo hike starts from the Clarence Valley Road parking area on the west side of the mountain. It is mostly uphill with multiple views of the valley. Reaching the summit was an uplifting moment. The area is quite spectacular. I rank this a favorite.
